2023 Portland

Festival of Trees

Thank you for joining us for our third year of the Portland Festival of Trees! 🎄

We'll see you again in 2024!

Many thanks to all who contributed to, worked on, attended, and voiced enthusiastic support for the Portland Festival of Trees, Silent Auction, six-month long LL Bean raffle, Santa visit, and Craft Fair that benefit the Portland Children’s Dyslexia Center’s exciting work teaching children with dyslexia how to read. Listening to the emotion-filled voices of parents and grandparents who sincerely appreciate the tutors’ dedicated work; telling how our program has unbelievably benefitted the lives of their loved ones sure makes all the long hours and hard work to make the event possible so worthwhile. Stories of kids who couldn’t read who are now attending pre-law and med schools and applying to some of the most prestigious engineering schools in the country.

Yes, “our” kids are the real winners from this annual event, but there are other winners as well from the raffles and auctions and they are listed in the pictures here. It’s been fun meeting with some of the very happy winners. Kids rolling on the floor with excitement for winning a baseball glove and other items under her tree; a mother asking, “May I give you a quick hug?” when picking up the tree her daughter really, really wanted, adding “She willed it to happen!”

Thanks one and all. See you again in 2024!
